Adding bands to your workout is a fantastic way to challenge the overall benefits of your exercises. The hex bar/trap bar band resisted deadlift is a frontal plane dynamic stabilizer exercise.
The bands are overloading the concentric phase at the end as well as the eccentric phase at the beginning of the descent. Reinforcing the eccentric/concentric transitioning muscle actions.
In the first segment of the video, you can see the band resisted set up with a medium strength super band. In the second segment, I added a mini band above the knees to challenge the gluteals a bit more for better knee stability.
